There are 50 serving options available for the week of Sunday, April 27 to Saturday, May 3. Choose from Sunday afternoon, weekday options, or options on Saturday morning and afternoon. There are both in-person and From Home options.
Every person who calls Hope home is invited to sign up for at least one serving option, and if you choose, more than one! Consider encouraging those you know where you work, live, and play to join you in serving.
Sign-ups open March 2 and close March 16.

- If your initial choice is full, please choose another serving option. There are many great options we want to complete, and serving options are available each day of the week at specific times.

Their vision is to unleash the potential in all through enriching outdoor experiences. This serving option includes replacing old LED converted lighting to new LED lighting in the poolhouse on both the men’s side and the women’s side. This requires basic electrical skills as the wiring is already in place along with the ability to work on a ladder because the ceiling is vaulted and the lighting is about 15 feet or so overhead. We have tools and ladders but more ladders would be helpful. People will work in pairs, and safety on the ladders is essential.

The kiosk at the Camp Kern main parking lots featuring a welcome chalk board and camp map was destroyed in one of last year’s storms. This serving option includes replacing the kiosk with a new one. This serving option requires some intermediate carpentry skills and consists of (2) 6×6 posts with wood plywood between them and a metal roof on top. All tools and materials will be on site.

This is a small carpentry project to attach some 2x4s to a 4×4 and install some screw in hooks, eyebolts, cords and rings. All materials are on site and we have all tools needed. Once carpentry is done, it needs to be set upright in a hole and filled with concrete.

Their vision is to unleash the potential in all through enriching outdoor experiences. This serving option includes cutting and removing small brush growing on the spillway at Elk Lake. The area was allowed to grow up over many years and Camp Kern is taking aggressive action to remove and keep the slope maintained with grass. This is important for preservation of the dam. The site has plenty of small hand saws and pruning shears so only work gloves are needed. This is a big project that will not be completed by just our group so expectations are to get small sections done at a time.

Gratitude Bags are our “THANK YOU” to first responders and their support staff. Purchase items to provide (7) Gratitude Bags… Items that will go in a gratitude bag are pre-packaged snacks and drinks that could go in a backpack for a long shift. We are asking you to include:
- A sports drink (ex. Gatorade/Powerade)
- Granola bars or Kind bars
- Trail mix
- Baked chips and/or pretzels
- Fruit snacks
- Pre-packaged Cookies
We’d also like each gift bag to include a note of gratitude or a fun drawing for our first responders – these can be completed by any age! If you choose, some Gratitude coloring sheets will be available when you pick up the gift bags.
If you choose this serving option, you are committing to purchase items to provide 7 filled Gratitude bags and deliver them at the noted time to the address provided in your confirmation email.
