Worship Ministry Mission

In Hope's Worship Ministry, we seek to use the arts effectively to communicate the gospel of Jesus and to lead people into His presence through worship.

Worship Ministry Opportunities

We provide many opportunities and entry points for artists (singers, instrumentalists, techies, etc.) of all ages and ability levels. We seek to provide training, inspiration, motivation, and a safe place for everyone who desires to use what God has given them for His glory and the lasting joy of all people!

Here are the ways you can get involved in Worship Ministry at Hope Church.

Hope Vocal Team

The Vocal Team consists of auditioned vocalists for worship services.

Requirements:

  • Follower of Christ
  • Character/Leadership
  • Humble, servant attitude
  • Team spirit
  • Seek to preserve unity
  • Congruent lifestyle
  • Consistently demonstrate responsibility, self-discipline
  • Contextual worship leader (integrate well with other team members)
  • Actively engaged in Hope Church and its vision and mission

Vocal Ability:  

  • Read music or are a “quick study”
  • Solo quality
  • Stylistic flexibility
  • Voice that blends well with others in small ensemble
  • Strength in singing versatile parts
  • Strength in contemporary styles (pop, R&B, light rock, gospel, etc.)
Hope Worship Choir

All adults and students (high school age and up) who are committed followers of Jesus, love to sing, and have a desire to lead others in worship are welcome to join! No audition is required, but an initial interview with the director is expected, which includes sharing a bit of your personal journey, receiving orientation from the director, and a voice placement.

Interested singers are given the opportunity to sign up for a variety of musical projects throughout the year with a minimum 75% commitment expected for all rehearsals and projects. The choir is in session from September – December and February – May. Projects include multiple outreach opportunities (holiday programs, retirement home presentations, and other venues as requested) as well as leading worship on occasion in The Gathering.

Hope Band

The Worship Band consists of auditioned instrumentalists for worship services.

  • Stylistic flexibility
  • Understanding of how your individual instrument fits into the band as a whole
  • Strength in contemporary styles (pop, R&B, light rock, gospel, etc.)
Tech Team

Are you looking for a place to serve and also have a passion for technology? The Tech Team may be the right place for you! The Tech Team consists of multiple positions including Front Of House sound, Broadcast sound, Lighting, Media Content, and Broadcast Video Director.

We are always looking for new volunteers, and the serving options vary from once-a-month to as frequently as you would like. This is a great way to get involved without missing The Gathering, and also a great way to get to know people!

You don’t need any experience. We can train you! Come join us to help create our weekly Gathering experience and lead people to The LIFE! It truly is about our vision and mission here at Hope: For the glory of God and the lasting joy of all people, by the power of the Holy Spirit, we will help one another discover grace, grow together, and make disciples of Jesus who will multiply!
